What is it? TallyGram™ is speech recognition software that records events in real time using a networked hand-held PDA (running Windows CE), or personal computer (running Windows XP or Windows 2000). Complex processes can be captured as they happen on an event by event basis by an observer saying key phrases that describe the events specific to the process being observed.

TallyGram™ is built on ANSR, the Active, Networked Speech Recognition toolkit from Sprex, Inc., using high quality, server based, speech recognition resources on the Sprex network.

What does it do? For any given application, TallyGram™ produces a time-ordered list of specific events in an easily exported text file. Time-stamped audio files and running totals for specific types of events are also produced.
Why use it? Speech input permits continuous observation of events. Capture all the action in analysis-ready form by just saying what you see.

Networked architecture means that multiple observers can record different events for higher productivity, or the same event for data consistency.

What are some TallyGram applications?
Sports - play by play game capture for coaches, scouts, and fans:
Business - item by item capture for transactions:
Field observations - Real-time field notebook:
  • North American Bird Watching
  • Property or Asset Inspection
